Why "Whaledancer"?
You remember "Dances With Wolves," right? Well, my nom de blog is short for She Who Dances With Whales.
A number of years ago, I had the good fortune to meet the friendly California gray whales of Laguna San Ignacio, up close
and personal. When a wild and free gray whale has come up to you, looked you in the eye, and rolled over for a belly rub,
it can mark you for life.
Also, thinking about the gray whales reminds me that beauty comes in all sizes and shapes. When whales dance, breaching,
spyhopping, diving, and rolling, they are graceful, majestic, and beautiful.
