1 serving
This is my favorite breakfast. I never thought I’d get excited about
oatmeal, but when I eat this, it’s so good it makes my toes curl with delight.
The cranberries aren’t sour or puckery, they just add a hint of tartness.
1 cup water
pinch of salt
12-14 fresh cranberries
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
1 med. banana, mashed
Add salt and cranberries to the water and bring to a boil in a small, heavy-bottomed
saucepan. Add cinnamon & oatmeal and stir. Turn down to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until water is mostly
absorbed, about 3 minutes. Meanwhile, mash banana in the cereal bowl. When oatmeal is thickened to your liking, add it to
the banana and mix well.
